TM Daniel from los Angeles recently contributed with a script for the role of Ah Counter. Here is another great submission by him for the same role. Have a look.
It is perfectly human to simultaneously think about ideas on the subject in your mind as you speak to form your message. However too often, as we do so, we tend to use some crutch words like Ah, umm, err, basically etc. to jump between these ideas or switch from one point to another. A polished speaker is one who does so with perfections sans the use of these filler words. In Toastmasters, we strive to achieve the same as well. That is why every Toastmasters meeting has an Ah Counter
As the Ah Counter today, my role is to keep a track of all filler words such as ah, um, you know, basically etc. that speakers use during their speech. I will make a note of them and present my findings when called upon by the General Evaluator.

Thank you so much TM Daniel for this delightful submission.
We here at mymeetingroles.com are creating a pool of wonderful scripts for Toastmasters roles that can work as an inspiration when needed. If you have a script for any role in Toastmasters, do let us know here.
