General Evaluator · Guest Contributions

A GE script with a repartee

We saw what you did here TM Oliver. Often a TMOD introduces the General Evaluator by calling the evaluation session the most important session in a Toastmasters meeting. TM Oliver grabbed the opportunity to continue from here with a humorous twist. Take a look and see what Oliver came up with.

RELATED: How to do the role of General Evaluator?

Role of General Evaluator

The TMOD just called the evaluation session the most important session of our meeting. I believe that’s gross injustice. Vitamins are important. A call from your boss is important. But evaluation in Toastmasters is not just important; it’s the heart and soul of the entire program. We are all here to transform ourselves into better public speakers and evaluations are what help us achieve that. As the General Evaluator it is my duty to bring to your notice things that we did well in today’s meeting but more importantly things that we can improve upon. And to deliver upon this role effectively, I have an entire team to help me. Let me introduce this team to you now.

(It may be a good idea to have a back up introduction handy in case TMOD decides not to call evaluations important that day. Or you may have a word with TMOD in advance to plan it this way.)

Thank you so much TM Oliver for this submission.

We here at mymeetingroles.com are making a collection of scripts / introductions for all roles in Toastmasters. If you have such ideas or scripts that you have used in your club, let us know here or email us at hello@mymeetingroles.com.
