Picking on people makes you a bully. But picking on people’s filler words – that’s the recipe for the Ah counter in Toastmasters. And one that only repairs people’s confidence doesn’t wreck it. That’s because when you speak without filler words such as ah, umm, like, you know etc., you appear more assertive and persuasive. So as the Ah Counter today, I will pick on your filler words and present this report towards the end so that you may work on eliminating them.
