Nobody wants to appear like a wannabe. And TM William from Miami sure knows the secret to not look like one. He shares it in this amazing script for the role of Ah counter that is short and yet effective. Take a look at his submission below.
RELATED: How to do the role of Ah Counter?

We would all like to portray ourselves as confident public speakers, wouldn’t we? One who speaks with impact and gets the audience to act on the call to action. Sadly, filler words are a real dampener on this outcome. There is a world of difference between “WE ARE THE LEADING PLAYER IN THE INDUSTRY” and “we are umm the leading player in the industry.” One makes you sound like an achiever, the other a wannabe. In Toastmasters, we have a dedicated ah counter who keeps a track of all such words – umm, err, you know, like etc. so that you can work on them. As the Ah counter today, I will present this report towards the end of the meeting so that we are all on our way to become confident speakers.
