Imagine an alternate world where speakers were paid on the basis of number of words spoken just like content writers are paid on number of words written. In such a world, every contract would have one clause “filler words are not counted as words.” Because nobody ever benefits from ah, umm, you know etc. We are not living in such a world but seeing how unwanted they are, it’s still a great idea to get rid of them. So as the Counter today, I will keep track of all such words used during the meeting and I will present this report at the end so that you know what to get rid of.
