This is indeed a delightful submission for the role of Grammarian in Toastmasters by TM James from London. Please note the usage of the word delight here because that’s how TM James describes his role as the Grammarian. Read his submission below.
RELATED: How to do the role of Grammarian?
In the real world, someone constantly correcting your grammar can be a pain in the posterior. In Toastmasters they are a delight. So I chose to delight you today. As the Grammarian for today’s session, I will correct your grammar and pronunciation while also appreciating you for their delightful usage.
As the Grammarian, it is also my role to enrich your vocabulary by giving you a word of the day. And the word of the day for today is “triumph.”
It’s a noun and it means a great victory or achievement.
Examples of sentences using the words are –
His triumph filled his mother’s heart with pride.
The home team’s triumph started a series of celebrations across the state.
Thank you so much TM James for this submission.
