When I first came in as a guest in this club, I participated in Table topics thrice. And every time the Ah counter reported that I uttered “so” and “like” multiple times during my 2 minute speech. I was astounded because I never realized I had a habit of repeating these words so often. The fact is that as speakers, we are unaware of the filler words we utter while our brain is busy figuring what to speak. But as I discovered not only we utter them but they also dampen the impact our speeches create. So as a pay back, I will help the speakers in today’s session discover their filler words so that they may work on them just like I did.
