If you were to deliver a speech with a script in front of you, would you use words like ah, umm, err, you know etc.? Most likely no. Same is not the case sans the script. The challenge is to deliver a speech without a script and be as flawless as you would be with the script in front of you. In Toastmasters, we help you meet this challenge through a dedicated Ah Counter. As the Ah Counter today, I will keep a note of all the fillers words used by speakers in their speeches. I will present this report towards the end of the meeting so that you may know how far you are from meeting the challenge and work on it.
