TM William from Los Angeles is absolutely not happy about the fact that we call it Toastmasters and yet never raise a Toast. He mentioned about it in his earlier hilarious script for the role of Timer. And he mentions it again in this amazing script for the role of Ah Counter. Read it below.
RELATED: How to do the role of Ah Counter?

Do you know what your poison is? We are all Toastmasters and it’s only fitting that we know what our poison is. No I am not referring to your choice of alcohol to raise a toast but rather your choice of crutch word that poison your speech. Because every speaker has one crutch word whose repeated use poisons their speech. For some, it’s “you know”, others utter “like” repeatedly while I personally just go “ummm.”
As the Ah Counter today, think of me as the antidote. I will help you in getting rid of your poison crutch word. I will make a note of all the crutch words used by speakers and role players in the meeting today and present my report in the evaluation session.
